Learning with and from Horses
Ground-based work. No prior horse experience needed.
Why Horses
An interaction with a horse is an experience that often reaches deeper than words and analysis alone.
Horses respond to how you show up in the moment: your presence, inner alignment and congruence. They have no agenda and are not interested in your status or stories. They respond to who you are in that moment, not to who you would like to be. In doing so, they reveal behavioural patterns that we are often unaware of.
My role as horse-reflected facilitator and coach
Whether you come on your own or with a team, I provide a safe and calm setting. Depending on the format and theme, you will interact with the horse through small assignments or in a more open way.
I do not interpret the horse’s behaviour for you or assign meaning to it. Instead, I work with questions and reflection to sharpen your perception, and support you in making sense of what you experience.
My role is to support you in translating your experience into everyday life, so that insights are anchored and last.
Practical details
All activities take place on the ground with calm and gentle horses.

Teambuildings with Horses
Strengthening collaboration through shared experience
Teams often look for an off-site experience that is genuinely different. Horse-reflected teambuilding offers exactly that: a shared experience that takes teams out of their daily routines and shifts attention away from roles, hierarchies and habitual ways of interacting.
This format is particularly suitable for teams who want to do something out of the ordinary without staying on the surface. It combines a strong experiential element with moments of reflection, allowing insights to emerge that are memorable and transferable to everyday work.
Activities take place on the ground and involve the whole team, sometimes working together, sometimes in smaller groups. Each exercise is followed by reflection, supporting teams in making sense of what they have experienced and how it relates to their collaboration, communication and way of working together.
Teambuildings take place in Lennik, west of Brussels. Duration typically ranges from three to five hours, depending on the format and objectives. Group size: up to 12 participants.

Leadership Workshops with Horses
Exploring leadership presence, congruence and impact
Leadership roles leave little space for reflection. Yet leadership impact is rarely defined by intention alone, but by presence, clarity and how others respond to you.
Horse-reflected leadership workshops create a setting in which leadership becomes immediately tangible through direct experience.
Working with horses brings attention to how you lead yourself before leading others. Horses respond to presence, clarity, inner alignment and boundaries. They make leadership impact visible.
This format is particularly suited for leaders who want to:
- sharpen their awareness of their leadership presence and impact
- explore how they take responsibility, set direction and deal with resistance
- reflect on authority beyond formal roles and hierarchy
- experiment with different ways of leading and recognise their own preferences
Leadership workshops are experiential and interactive. Participants engage with the horses through guided interactions, individually or in small groups. Each interaction is followed by reflection, connecting the experience to leadership realities and everyday practice.
HorsePower® – a structured approach to leadership development
As an accredited HorsePower Coach, I can integrate the methodology developed by Horse Act into leadership workshops and individual coaching.
The model explores different ways of communicating, taking responsibility, making decisions and leading others. Rather than defining an ideal leadership style, it helps participants recognise their natural behavioural preferences and develop greater flexibility in responding to what different situations require.
HorsePower Experience
The HorsePower Experience brings these dynamics to life through structured interactions with horses. Their immediate responses make patterns in communication, collaboration and leadership visible, including patterns that may be less apparent in everyday working situations.
Reflection after each interaction connects the experience to concrete leadership situations and the workplace. The HorsePower Experience can be integrated into an Equilibrations leadership workshop for leadership teams or small groups.
HorsePower Scan
The HorsePower Scan offers a more in-depth individual exploration of behavioural preferences across four areas: resilience, communication, effectiveness & efficiency, and leadership impact.
It combines online preparation, a structured session with a horse and a personal report followed by a debrief. The Scan can be used as a stand-alone development tool or as the starting point for a broader Equilibrations coaching or leadership development process.
Individual HorsePower Scans and one-to-one leadership sessions with horses are also available.
HorsePower® is a registered methodology developed by Horse Act.
Practical information
No riding or previous experience with horses is required.
Horse-reflected leadership workshops, HorsePower Experiences and Scans can take place at selected locations in Flemish Brabant: Leest (near Mechelen), Zoutleeuw (near Tienen) and Lennik (west of Brussels). Duration, location and format are tailored to the organisation’s objectives.
Horse-Reflected Coaching (individual sessions)
Individual coaching through a different lens
Horse-reflected coaching is offered as an individual, one-to-one format for people who want to explore a concrete question or decision through direct experience rather than conversation alone.
Working with a horse creates a different quality of awareness: what is present becomes visible and tangible in the moment. The horse acts as a mirror, while I facilitate the reflection and support you in translating what emerges into your professional and personal context.
This format can be part of a coaching trajectory or offered as a stand-alone session and is described in more detail under Coaching → Horse-Reflected Coaching.
